While the Chevrolet Cruze has been caught up in some of GM's recall kerfuffles as of late, I have always considered it to be a pretty good value and a surprisingly handsome small car. After seeing its new face, I'm inclined to scratch that last one.
Spotted undisguised outside of GM's Shanghai plant by our pals at Car News China is the new-for-2015 Cruze. It's, um... interesting-looking. Kind of generic. I believe the term Matt used was "Dartlantra."
What remains to be seen is whether the U.S. and the rest of the world get this new Cruze face. China's Cruze is the same one we get, so I'm inclined to think it's the same deal here.
We'll find out its U.S. specs and face soon enough.
UPDATE: We hear from sources that the new Chevy Cruze you see here is a shorter wheelbase, China-only model. Still anonymous-looking, but at least it gives us hope for a more distinct version.
