Have you always wanted a car you couldn't buy, but was only available in Gran Turismo 6? No, well Mercedes has built one anyway. GT6 is already stuffed with great cars/vehicles/lunar rovers, but this AMG Vision GT is certainly a shocking virtual creation.
The Vision GT is the product of Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi commissioning certain automakers to dream up something awesome for the game's 15th anniversary, and this is what Mercedes thought of. You can't buy one and it's not exactly a forecast of Mercedes supercars to come, even if there is one physical model of it at Mercedes' new Silicon Valley R&D facility.
Yes, it looks like an SLS with its gullwing doors. It's powered like an SLS, too, with a V8 pumping out an SLS-like 577 horses. Mercedes also says its "sound specialists have created a powerful, sonorous exhaust note that authentically celebrates the V8's love of high engine speeds." So, you've been ordered to turn up the volume.
The grille is also apparently made up entirely of LEDs. Have I mentioned you can't buy this car? Ever.
It's also so chromed up that Justin Bieber is already thinking of ways to hoon it around his neighborhood. Thankfully, no one can drive this thing anywhere but in GT6 when it goes on sale Dec. 6.
