The 1970s were the years when the Japanese automakers really came full force into the sports car game. These days, cars like the Datsun 510 and 240Z and the Mazda RX-7 are considered classics, but no one really talks about the original Toyota Celica.
See, I think that's a shame, and so does Brian Karasawa, owner of this gorgeous orange 1977 Celica, the last year of the first-generation bodystyle. In this new video from Electric Federal, Karasawa explains what makes his fastback so great, from its Hayashi racing wheels and its respectable 185 horsepower.
It's a beauty and it still runs strong after his restoration. And it's proof that even if a car is somewhat overlooked, it can still be awesome.
