This is Down On The Street Bonus Edition, where we check out interesting street-parked cars located in places other than the Island That Rust Forgot. I spent a few days in Denver during the week, and look what I found!
On the very same South Denver street that brought us the Austin-Healey 100-Six, here's a Land Rover that you'd think would be more at home in a nature preserve in Kenya than in this upscale urban setting. I'll bet the driver of this thing laughs in contempt at all those bloated SUVs when the serious snow starts falling and the poser "off-road" vehicles get stuck, though. I daren't risk the wrath of the Land Rover experts by trying to ID this fine British machine with any degree of precision- hey, I'm a city boy and don't have a lot of experience with these here truck thangs- but I'm going to say it appears to be an 88" wheelbase Series IIa Station Wagon from the early 1960s.
