Ever think of bringing a high-performance racer from grey matter to carbon fiber to pavement? (We do, just about every waking moment.) Since 2002, engineer, Dennis Palatov has been doing more than dreaming about such a project — he's been working toward the goal of an all-wheel-drive, single-seat track car, powered by a Suzuki Hayabusa motor, that will weigh around 700 lbs. From cocktail-napkin sketches to CAD drawings to drivetrain development to tooling of a carbon-fiber body, Palatov has been documenting the entire project on the Web site of his company, DP Cars. Aside from just surfing the site when we should be writing, we're also rooting for him. [Thanks to Tristan for the tip.]
