Rocker Peter Frampton, best known for pioneering the talkbox, demon guitar solos, and flowing golden locks, was rear-ended by a texting driver.
And thankfully, he has taken to Twitter to shout out loud about what went wrong. We hope he wasn't driving and tweeting.
Texting woman driver just ran into back of me while I was stationary in traffic 101 freeway. Can u say whiplash? People put the phones down!— Peter Frampton (@peterframpton) July 31, 2012
Frampton was also about to set off on a trip, but he didn't let that interrupt his journey at all, electing to visit the hospital after he landed.
Back and neck not good. Going to ER after my flight today.— Peter Frampton (@peterframpton) July 31, 2012
But soon after the crash, Frampton loosened up and used his new tour name to get a little punny about what happened to him.
I'm, "Grinning and Bearing" the tour already and it hasn't even started yet! Ouch!! Ha ha ha ha .... twitter.com/peterframpton/…— Peter Frampton (@peterframpton) July 31, 2012
Like he said in his hit song "Rock The Casbah" off of that great album The Wall, "obladi oblada, life goes on, ra." Then again, that might not have been him.
