The Associated Press is reporting that the "Unintended Acceleration" lawsuit against Toyota, known around these parts as "Beige Bites Back," has been dismissed by a federal judge in California.

This case was supposed to be one of a few bellwether cases in the hundreds of sudden acceleration complaints filed in federal court, but U.S. District Court Judge James V. Selna ruled late yesterday that the court doesn't have jurisdiction because damages could not reach a $50,000 threshold under federal law.
