This is one of those pictures that show the terrible fragility of seemingly massive vintage cars.
The accident happened in August 1930 in Grabow, a town in the Mecklenburg region of Germany. Of the car’s five occupants, two were seriously injured, while three escaped with minor injuries. Perhaps in celebration of the curious lack of grisly death, the pre-Nazi officers in the background are having a killer time.
