We at Jalopnik Detroit heard a little rumor that the team from one automaker challenged the team at another automaker to a horsepower showoff with some super-fast product. Problem is, one team seems to have cold feet.
The Woodward Dream Cruise can be a marketing event just as much as it is a car show. Dodge took the wraps off its Charger Hellcat at Vinsetta Garage on Woodward just a few days ago and enthusiasts have been treated to Challenger Hellcat ride and drives all week. And Nissan will set up shop on the strip with some Nismo models in tow — including the GT-R Nismo.
A little birdie tells us that the GT-R Nismo and one of the Hellcats were due to square off at some point this weekend, but reps from one of these automakers are stalling. Can't say which, but we're going to fuel the fire anyway. But we'll let you guess — who between Nissan and Dodge is too chicken to step to the track?
