It's philosophy week here at Jalopnik's Question und Answer Department. After an hour-long phone call with the Postfather about what is right and wrong in the world of cars, we've decided to go a bit elemental for the next few days. Case in point. We ran the numbers, and so far this month counting a new clutch (labor), 30,000-mile service, tires (Goodyear Eagle F1s), a new key, gas, car payments and insurance, we've spent over $3,000 on the WRX. And we would happily do it all over again next month. That's because we're so damn hooked. But, the question is, why? What about sitting in a seat, surrounded by metal and suspended atop rubber while moving through space, so totally and thoroughly captivates us?
