Why Buy A BMW M3 When This Insanely Fast Porsche 997 Turbo Is Way Less?

When you buy a new car, there’s a certain pride in ownership that comes with it, along with the novel experience of getting something shiny and fresh. But what happens when you get tired of it? This Porsche 997 Turbo is what happens - a screaming deal for someone who wants something next to new for relatively next to nothing.

This 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo is one of the best looking models that the German automaker has ever made. With a 470 horsepower twin-turbocharged boxer engine underneath the modernized trademark whale tail, the car is comically quick, beating most exotic supercars to 60 miles per hour from a standstill. It’s also the first time I’ve seen that an example in great shape is around the $50,000 mark. Considering the car was closer to $150,000 in today’s money just seven years ago, you’re getting an awesome car for a knockout price.

Although the car does have 80,000 miles on it which is normal for a car designed for daily driver duty, it looks remarkably clean and well-kept, from the few photos that are available. Here’s an excerpt from the description:

This 2008 Souther California car ,Porsche 911 Turbo comes in an Arctic Silver Metallic exterior color, combined with a full leather black interior. The car is loaded with features such as: the Carbon Package which adds carbon fiber trim throughout the interior, the Sport Chrono Package Turbo, Sport power seats with memory, a sunroof, a parking assit system, a carbon fiber multifunction steering wheel, Speed Yellow deviating stitching, a sport shifter, Speed Yellow seatbelts, Speed Yellow instrument dials, illuminated door sills and much more.

In addition to its factory options, the car also has a Milltek exhaust system,Brand new upgraded turbochargers, a brand new sport clutch(Sachs), lower Eibach suspension, spacers, brand new wheels and tires and an APR tuned computer. With these mods, the car produces over 560 +hp!

If the car doesn’t have any major mechanical gremlins or issues that need solving, it’s worth it in name alone. The engine doesn’t have the troublesome IMS issues like some of the the naturally aspirated 996s and 997.1s that you see on the market today, and the car is infinitely upgradeable and faster than you’d ever need a Porsche to be. It’s one of the best Porsches you can buy for the money today, bar none.
