NASCAR may be all flashy these days, filled with corporate sponsors, drivers without accents, and teeth. But scratch just below the surface and get into the stands at Talladega, and you'll see truly beautiful vestiges of tradition sitting right in front of you.

And yes, that was a real, live opossum:
