The 2012 Honda Civic was an embarrassment for Honda as they assumed people in a recession would want to be reminded of that fact every day with a bland, boring, cheaper version of the car they used to build. They instituted one of the quickest redesigns ever. Reports indicate that Honda was already working to fix the car before it even went on sale.
