The automobile itself is a technology, and an amazingly advanced one at that. But what automobile is the most advanced of all?
One could certainly make a case for the driverless car. It is the first of a coming generation, as close as we've come to a car of the future as I can remember.
The driverless car is the first automobile to go from horseless carriage to something more like a mechanical horse, where the human operator has a relationship with a semi-autonomous steed. When we're all cruising around on these mass market Herbies, their interconnected systems of lasers, radar, and cameras will all seem commonplace, but that's still years away.
What do you think is the most technologically advanced car, not for its time, but of all time?
