What Modifications Actually Make Your Car Worse?

Cars are almost always great, it's their owners who suck.

There’s nothing like making a car your own. Everything about you needs to shout what you’re about, whether it’s sick wheels, a super low ride or a massive aerodynamically questionable wing.

But not all mods are created equal. Some are downright offensive. A few are actually dangerous. Which brings me to my least favorite mod: all of those wild colored, super bright LED headlights that folks are so fond of. They always look cheap and crappy to me and are rarely installed correctly, so instead of being mildly off-put by someone’s crummy taste in car accessories, you’re momentarily blinded by their bad decisions. And they’re not even as bad as the yahoos who black out their headlight. Idiots.

But there’s so much to kvetch about. Truck nuts, fake badges, and pointless lift kits installed by parking lot princesses all have a place here. What’s your pet peeve in the aftermarket world?
