What Car Color Needs To Come Back?
We live in an age where car colors are terribly safe. Silver and gray rule the modern automotive palette. It's time to liven things up and add some brightness and contrast to the roads. What color needs to be popular again?
In the Seventies and Eighties, Porsche offered their cars in Petroleum Blue: a slightly mystical gray-violet that managed the difficult task of being both dignified and interesting. It was unusual enough to suit the exclusive nature of the car, it avoided retina-scarring obviousness, and it was a pleasant break from safe choices like black and silver and red. We'd enjoy seeing it back; it would still work very well today.
