Weekend Motorsports Roundup, Sept. 19-20, 2015
Welcome to the Jalopnik Weekend Motorsports Roundup, where we let you know what's going on in the world of racing, where you can see it, and where you can talk about it all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?
Our own Stef Schrader will be Circuit of the Americas this weekend for the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship and World Endurance Championship races, so tune in and I'll tell her to wave at you through the TV (OK, no guarantees here).
NASCAR kicks off its 10-round Chase for the Sprint Cup this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway, marking the second year for its knockout-style playoff format. Both the Camping World Truck Series and Xfinity Series will be joining the Cup guys, making for a triple-header event — what's not to love there?
Singapore hosts Formula One this weekend, where Alexander Rossi plans to make his F1 debut — the first American in the series since Scott Speed in 2007. In other news, Lewis Hamilton is so quick that he's probably already waiting for everyone else on the grid for the Japanese Grand Prix.
The Pirelli World Challenge season finale from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca plays this Sunday on a week delay, and NHRA will be zipping down the drag strips in North Carolina on that day too. If you want some two-wheel action, you can also catch a delayed showing of the MotoAmerica race from New Jersey Motorsports Park on TV.
If we missed anything or you know of a good live stream going on this weekend, don't be shy — let us know in the comments below.
