Welcome to the Jalopnik Weekend Motorsports Roundup, where we let you know what's going on in the world of racing, where you can see it, and where you can talk about it all in one convenient place. Where else would you want to spend your weekend?
There's three big things happening this weekend: the Race of Champions, the Gulf 12 Hours, and the Formula E Punta del Este ePrix.
Formula E is the only one of those that will actually be televised, so if you're in desperate need of new races to watch that don't have a gimmicky "FanBoost" (urgh), we hope you like live streams.
That's not to knock Formula E, though. This weekend will be Jean-Éric Vergne's debut with the Andretti Formula E team. Many see this as his possible way over into IndyCar, another series Andretti does. Either way, it's good to see one of Formula One's seat-less drivers land on their feet somewhere, particularly after Vergne was unceremoniously cut from the Toro Rosso squad.
