The 2018 Ford Fiesta, which will come in four delectable flavors, also means a new Fiesta ST is likely in the works. But we might be waiting for a bit before we get it, which is miserable garbage and I hate waiting, and so I curse the nature of spacetime itself.

We’ll see a 2018 Fiesta ST by the end of next year, but production won’t start until January 2018, reports Dutch outlet AutoRAI. When it does, though, Ford says that the car will appear in both the three- and five-door variants of the market.

We have reached out to Ford for confirmation on this and will update if we hear back.

The current Fiesta ST charmed us all with its sheer lightweight hot-hatchiness: a 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine spitting out 197 horsepower in a body that weighs 2,700 pounds. Manual only. These are the ingredients of something holy. Something timeless.

Will the new Fiesta ST continue on that legacy of greatness? I have confidence in Ford because it’s been on a hot streak lately, unleashing plenty of goodies from its fun bag.

Now it’s just about the waiting game. Which I hate. I hate waiting. Especially waiting for the new Fiesta ST oh god why does it have to be a year—a year—I just want all of the STs and RS in my life I can’t handle this please send help.
