I promised you I was going to spend all fall making you fall in love with Supercross and well, to be honest, I failed miserably. Yep, totally dropped the ball. But. BUT. Monster also wants you to fall in love with Supercross, and they’ve made this great little series to get you caught up on the players.

Supercross: Behind the Dream goes behind the scenes, profiling some of the top contenders for this year’s Supercross season. The season begins in Anaheim, California on January 9th. When the presents are put away and that awkward family member gets a little too drunk and tries to corner you about how work is going, tell them you forgot you had to go watch a documentary before next week.

Now if only they would grow up and get a TV deal with something other than FOX regional sports channels, and the clusterfuck that is FS1 and FS2 and their constant switching from one to the other and pushing off motorsports for shit competition shows and terrible regional college sports that no one cares about, people might actually watch and get interested again.

The last time i knew of “everyday” people knowing about supercross was when it was being played on ESPN.

Hell even my mom and dad would watch it on ESPN when i was younger and would attend races with me two or three times a year when i lived near them in florida.

Fox fucks up their motorsports coverage so often and they do it so poorly that having your motorsport covered there basically means no one else wants it. Which i find hard to believe for Supercross, but unless its on ESPN, NBCSN, or even TNT/Turner sports, the unwashed masses are never going to get exposed to it in a meaningful way.

anyone who doubts Fox’s shit coverage need only go back to the coverage of the world’s most pre-eminant race, the Le Mans 24 hour and the shit show that was fox coverage of it this last year.
