Watch Finnish Rally Spectators Rescue Car After Car After Car

One corner at Rally Finland last weekend seemed committed to catching out and rolling as many cars as possible. (Count 10 rolls and five other crashes.) But the rally fans watching from the side of the road had other plans.

Officially, rally spectators are supposed to always stay a safe distance from the race cars screaming past them. That’s why you see that fencing set up in this video.

But fans extricating stuck cars is a rally tradition, and these fans at the Päijälä stage took on the challenge like few else I’ve seen. This is real passion for rally.

That or they were just drunk and bored. Either way.

Stay safe out there, rally fans.
