A rescue crew responding to the Christmas Day flooding in a suburb of Melbourne misjudged the depth of flood waters and plowed straight in, nearly submerging their truck entirely. One firefighter has been "stood down" and the whole crew may end up suspended.
The rescue crew above is in trouble for doing exactly what the government asked people not do when they drove straight into floodwaters, which is a major cause of flood-related deaths. The mayor of the town they were coming the rescue of sees it differently and has commended the men for their bravery.

Ultimately, if you're a first responder and you make it through without damaging the vehicle you did good. If you sink the truck you're the New Jersey National Guard.
