VW Represents Deutschland With 0.2% Higher February US Sales

The automaker representing Deutschland at all times just released their February 2007 sales. The precise automaker from the land of all things "Bruce" and un-pimping saw sales of 16,367, a 0.2% increase over the February 2006 sales of 16,329 vehicles. The volume car-leader for the car-maker is still obvs the Jetta, which has year-to-date sales of 14,352, with the GTI coming in second on sales of 2,450 — a 23% increase over the previous year. VOLKSWAGEN REPORTS FEBRUARY 2007 SALES

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Volkswagen of America, Inc. today announced February 2007 sales of 16,367 units, a 0.2 percent increase over the February 2006 total of 16,329 vehicles.

The Jetta, one of three "V-dubs" available under $17,000, continues to be the volume carline with year-to-date (YTD) sales of 14,352, a 1.2 percent increase. The award-winning GTI continues to perform well with YTD sales of 2,450, a 23 percent increase over the previous year. Combined, the New Beetle and New Beetle convertible had a strong February, posting sales of 2,398 units, up 11.8 percent over February 2006. The New Beetle is also available under $17,000.
