Vancouver hooligans: Just because your preferred collection of mercenary athletes failed to prevail in their months-long quest for an old silver bowl doesn't mean you should take to the streets and start burning cars. Ask Detroit how that works out.

The Canucks' 4-0 loss in the Stanley Cup final last night somehow tapped a tar sands of rage buried deep under the Canadian tundra of politeness. There might have been a bit of Olympic hangover mixed in as well, given how many of the rioters tried to jump over burning cars like they were acts in Cirque du Douchebag.
