Truck Driver Jumps From Rig Just As It Gets Annihilated By A Freight Train

You are in a truck. Stuck on the tracks. The truck is stuck! And there is a train. It is also stuck on tracks. But the train is moving very fast. You are immobile like a beached whale. STOP THINKING GET THE HECK OUT OF THERE.


There’s no word on the condition of the truck driver’s trousers after narrowly getting out of his truck seconds before it was clobbered by a freight train in Atwater, California. If I had to venture a guess, though, I’d say there’s not much left of them:

Garments notwithstanding, nobody was harmed in this crash, the Atwater Police Department says. Here are some pictures of the aftermath:

Maybe I’m an idiot, but how do so many vehicles stall on the tracks? If I was dumb enough to stop on the tracks, I would push through whatever traffic was in front of me to get clear if a train was coming.
