While Fuji Heavy Industries stakeholder Toyota had originally thought to supply its hybrid system to Subaru, it turns out that it wouldn't work well with Subie's hallmark AWD system, so the two automakers are collaborating to develop a system that'll work. They've also announced plans for the Camry to be built in Fuji's Indiana plant, at a rate of about 100,000 units per year.
