The Boeing C-17A Globemaster III, sometimes referred to affectionately as "The Moose" due to its busy looking wing structure that includes four engines and upturned winglets, remains the mainstay of America's heavy hauling cargo fleet with 223 examples of the type in the USAF's inventory.

The muscular cargo mover has starred in plenty of Michael Bay and Super Hero movies, and is by in no means ugly. But for something that can deliver an Abrams Main Battle Tank to a forward operating airfield, one would be hard pressed to call the C-17 a beautiful aircraft. Yet the breathtaking video below goes a long way at portraying the C-17 as just that, a purpose built yet incredibly graceful brute that is beautiful in her own right.
