This Showroom-Grade 1990 Mazda Miata Has Just 27 Miles On It

The original NA Mazda MX-5 Miata was a fantastic sports car bargain in its day, and it's become an ever better used car buy for enthusiasts on a budget. Sadly, it's getting hard to find ones that haven't been beat to hell. But here's a "barn find" 1990 Miata with just 27 miles on the clock.

That's what this seller from Kingman, Arizona says on eBay, anyway. If this is accurate, it is the about cleanest and nicest NA Miata I have ever seen, and it looks like it just came off the showroom floor more than 20 years ago.

The seller doesn't say exactly how or where he got it, just that it was in storage in an enclosed building for 24 years. It was originally sold at a Nevada Mazda dealer no longer in business. He says the car was never registered or titled, and when acquired it he had to have keys made for it. It's missing a battery and an antenna, but otherwise it's solid.

Though its story is a bit strange, it appears to be in excellent shape. As of this writing, the auction has four days to go, and the current bid is just $8,000. Someone needs to take this thing home and give her the hoonage she never had. It has 24 years to make up for!

Hat tip to Rich!
