This Dubuque, Iowa resident blew a .14 after police responded to reports of a drunken man attempting to bring a zebra and a parrot into a bar. Apparently the bar regularly allows animals, but was serving food on the night in question.

Jerald Reiter and his girlfriend say they treat their exotic pets "like children," regularly taking them for drives, reports KCRG. And, having seen pets in The Dog House Lounge before, thought nothing of bringing the pair along for a drink.

Problems began when Jerald discovered that The Dog House was serving food on the night in question, meaning no animals allowed. Attempting to put the animals back in the front seat of his truck, fellow patrons noted his apparent lack of sobriety and called cops. Iowa, which we think is located somewhere in the middle of the country, has a .08 blood alcohol limit.
