This Is The Only BMW E30 M3 Wagon In The World

BMW E30 wagons aren't easy to find. Trust me, I've been on the lookout. Even harder to find are E30 M3 wagons, but that's because they don't exist.

But a BMW customization shop in New Jersey changed that, creating the world's first E30 M3 wagon. It's for sale on eBay, and even though it's more than 20 years old, 32 bidders have already pushed the price up to $45,000. Not without reason: it really is that cool, because the only thing sweeter than an M3 is one you can actually use for everyday life.

Starting with a clean 1991 E30 touring, they chopped all of the appropriate body panels off of an M3 coupe and grafted them on. With fender flares, a lowered suspension, and ground effects, the thing looks pretty mean, and the seller boasts a five-speed manual-backed 281 hp inline six that we're sure is a blast to drive.

I suppose there are the BMW purists who would regard such a chop job as anathema, but I really can't think of any other BMW I'd rather own. I'm gushing over here. It's beautiful. Then again, maybe they subliminally hooked me with those shots of a decidedly clean-looking Jersey girl lounging on the fender. I don't know, but I wish I had the money to claim this prize.
