Check out this fascinating 37-page technical guide full of info on the 1997 Acura Integra Type R, one of our generation’s most celebrated sport compact cars.
The 1997 Acura Integra Type R Technical Information Guide, which can be found among a host of other interesting and even more specific ITR docs at IntegraTypeR.org, is somewhere between a service manual and a sales brochure.
You don’t often see automotive documents that are this reader-friendly and simultaneously info-dense, which is why I thought it was particularly cool. I’m always on the hunt for things like this, as regular readers will know, and of course I promise to share similar gems about other cool cars when I come across them.
This doc doesn’t describe repair procedures or feature glossy photos of smiling people loading luggage into an Acura, but it does have some detailed explanations of the ITR’s performance technology and how it differed from Acura’s more common sport compact of the ’90s: the Integra GSR.
I could study these images for ages. Not that I need to know the distance between the headlights on this, or any other car, but I think it’s so cool to see this much detail about a car so many of us grew up worshiping.
