Automotive design is somewhat of a black art. Combine the bleakest examples of said art with an acid-tongued Brit, and what have ye? Outlandish conjecture on the genesis of some of the author's least-favorite styling gaffes. To wit, the Citro n 2CV is claimed to have been "modelled on a boating accident that occurred in Cherbourg in 1923," while the Morgan Aero 8 is reportedly "actually a normal Morgan which is heated to melting point and crashed into an oak tree on the Malvern Hills."
