The National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Virginia has some Checker Marathon wagons powered by Olds Diesels in order to reduce radio pollution that would disturb their research. Pretty badass, if you ask me.

Yes, they need a chase vehicle on the ground to guide down those Lockheed U-2s. So they use Pontiac G8s. It's a landing strip and a 6.0 V8. NASA is using Chargers for the same task.
