The Ten Best Superhero Vehicles Of All Time

Reliable hero vehicles have been a necessity to crime-fighters for years. Well, at least for the heroes who can’t fly. Here are the ten best superhero vehicles of all time.

10.) The Mystery Men’s Herkimer Battle Jitney

Used purely as a defense vehicle, this hunk of metal did exactly what it was designed for. Even when decommissioned and it was on its way to be dismantled, the dismantlers couldn’t determine how to properly dismantle it. That’s what I call a defense jitney.

9.) Mermaid Man’s Invisible Boatmobile

Aside from the occasional problem of not being able to find the car, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy’s invisible boatmobile has been a reliable chariot through decades of underwater crime fighting. And not only for the mystically-powered duo, but also for their sidekicks, Spongebob and Patrick. That is when they aren’t too busy crashing it into things.

8.) Captain America’s Motorcycle

Through almost all of Captain America’s escapades as the national hero, his trusty steed has been some insane, custom-built Harley Davidson motorcycle. With that star-wielding red, white and blue shield affixed to the front, these bikes have been unbeatable. Let’s just not talk about what happened with the bike in the 1979 rendition of the film. That was just awful.

7.) James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5

James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 is undoubtedly one of the world’s most easily recognizable hero cars ever. Super spy gadgets galore and the timeless Aston Martin styling, I surely wouldn’t want anything more.

6.) Speed Racer’s Mach 5

No matter what trouble Speed Racer found himself in, the Mach 5 and its assortment of tools and super-gadgets were always able to find a way out. Controlled by a multi-functional set of buttons placed in the center of the steering wheel, it was handy, easy to use and undeniably reliable. The Mach Five was a near-perfect machine.

5.) Punisher’s Battle Van

With armaments stolen from my worst nightmares, this battle van is ready to take on whatever might be thrown at it, wherever and whenever. Incase your enemies won’t back down from some rubber bullet suppressive fire, the van can then switch over to its 20,000 rounds of .223. That should get the job done.

4.) Iron Man’s Audi R8 E-Tron

When Tony Stark isn’t flying around in one of his Iron Man creations, you can find him whipping around in something spectacular borrowed from his personal car collection. One of the more notable cars is his electric Audi R8. A man from the future driving a car of the future. Product placement done right!

3.) Tim Burton-Era Batmobile

Batman film’s Burton-era offered the world one of the most uniquely designed and notable superhero vehicles of all time. At just around 22 feet long, the Batmobile is only about three feet longer than your uncle’s Buick Roadmaster, but much more deadly. And stealthy.

2.) X-Men Blackbird

For the team of mutant superheroes, what better way to be transported across the world than a purpose-built, supersonic stealth plane?

1.) Batman’s Tumbler

The Tumbler has not only changed Batman’s standard of vehicular crime-fighting excellence, but it has also shaped the future for what’s to come in the world of saving lives, punching bad guys in their necks and driving up the sides of buildings like a true boss.
