Truck YeahThe trucks are good!

They say you can’t put a price on style, but you can put a price on a Volvo, which is pretty much the same thing.

The refreshed 2018 Volvo XC60 looks elegant and will probably drive great. And it’s priced squarely within the realm of its competitors, the Audi Q5 and the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. According to Automotive News, it will start at $42,495. That’s plus shipping.

To reiterate, you’ll be able to get it with one of three engines: a four-cylinder one, a twin-charged one and a hybrid one. And you’ll have the best-looking (and safest!) car on the block.

I don’t see a downside to this.

That’s...a lot. The way-more-reliable and same-sized Lexus NX AWD starts at only $36,500, a whopping $6,000 less!

The Lexus RX is 10 inches longer and starts at only $1500 more. The Infiniti QX60 is way bigger and starts at only $600 more. I mean, the Mercedes GLC starts only $39,150 ($41,150 with 4Matic).

Volvo might have missed the mark by a bit here. I’m sure their dealers will be giving out much higher discounts than the competitors soon anyway so perhaps the MSRP is moot, but still this isn’t exactly competitive pricing.

Also the configurator on shows the new XC60 starting at $41,500 so either that’s wrong or Automotive News is wrong.
