The Sound Of The Jaguar F-Type R Coupe Alone Makes It Worth It

Alex Goy has an interesting take on the Jaguar F-Type Coupe R: He says it's the car Jaguar should have been making for years.

Yes, their lineup of luxury coupes and sedans has been pretty good as of late. But they needed something ferocious. Something sexy. Something that can blow your ears off with "dirty noise," something that can "blow all the other sports cars out of the water."

And that's where the meanest F-Type comes in with insanity brought to you by the letter "R." With a 5.0-liter, 543-hp supercharged V8, a garden of performance enhancements and one of the most beautiful bodies to come along in years, the F-Type Coupe R lets the world know Jaaaaaaaaaag is back.

Loudly, too. Just listen to that exhaust note. Worth it? Yeah, worth it.

I test drove a V8S convertible. It's just a visceral, metallic, nasty noise. So good. It snaps, crackles, and pops.

Correct me if I am wrong, (seriously, Jalops, correct me if I am wrong) but this is the nastiest stock exhaust note you can get in a stock car under 200K (Okay, C63 Black Series excluded. And I still don't think it sounds as gnarly, but some people do.)
