It’s one thing, intellectually, to hear that full-on Trophy Trucks that run the likes of the Baja 1000 and whatnot do absurd speeds over barren terrain. It’s another to see one do it.
I know, I know. You’re thinking “what are you talking about? I’ve seen plenty of that. There’s a helicopter hovering overhead and you see it moving. Or there’s a camera placed very neatly on the side of the road and one just blasts by.”
Psychotic Racing has run a bunch of trucks over the years, including this Toyota Tundra back in 2013. They decided to test it, naturally, outside Plaster City, California, which coincidentally enough has a stretch of desert right next to a stretch of road. So you really get a feel for how fast these things move:
