The Most Expensive Cars

The number-crunching wonders at Forbes tallied the most expensive production cars available, and sorted out the top 10. The names aren't surprising, nor are the figures (at least for car obsessives). Accounting nuts, however, will notice the Rolls-Royce Phantom, at $320,000 places higher on the list than the Maybach 57, at $327,750. We think that's some kind of higher math based on the average rate of exchange minus the relative value of gross domestic dry goods over pork bellies. You wouldn't understand.

1. Saleen S7 ($560,000)
2. Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren ($452,750)
3. Porsche Carrera GT ($443,000)
4. Maybach 62 ($377,000)
5. Rolls-Royce Phantom ($320,000)
6. Maybach 57 ($327,750)
7. Lamborghini Murci lago ($280,000)
8. Aston Martin V-12 Vanquish ($256,350)
9. Ferrari 612 Scaglietti ($254,150)
10. Ferrari 575M Maranello ($225,090)
