Sleep with one eye open if there's a Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series in your garage. It's a brutal killer. Just look at it. It's an SLS AMG GT3 if the SLS AMG GT3 is being hunted by Interpol.
If there's any consolation, it's that it'll be a quick death.
Power is up from the AMG 6.3-liter V8 to 622 horsepower, an improvement of about 40 over the SLS AMG GT red-lining at 8,000 rpm. Torque? 468 pound-feet of twist. Only the SLS AMG Electric Drive is more powerful, Mercedes notes. But it won't sound this good. Power goes through the DCT 7-speed transmission, beefed up for the extra power. There's also an "Electronically-controlled AMG rear axle differential lock" which we hope mean a Ferrari/Audi-esque mechanical diff with electronic controls and not an e-Diff.
Because it's an AMG product the weight is down to 3,417 pounds (3,000 pounds without the monster motor). All this leads up to a top speed of 196 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds. Yeah, a GT-R will crush it. But a GT-R doesn't look this good.
You want carbon? We've got carbon fiber aerodynamics. We've got carbon-fiber reinforced plastic and carbon ceramic brakes. The wheels are made of dreams.
So tough. So sexy. It even has a Gurney flap. And… and… and… just look at it.
