Maserati unveiled the latest edition to the trident brand's stable at its new Manhattan dealership Tribeca last night. It's called the GranTurismo MC.
The MC sits above the GranTurismo S as the new sportiest iteration of Maserati's coupe. The GranTurismo MC is like the Euro-market GranTurismo Stradale, but not exactly.
Unlike the Stradale, the MC gets to keep its four-person seating.
Under the hood of the 4.7-liter V8, powers been increased to 444 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque (from 440 hp and 361 lb-ft). Top speed inches up to 185 mph, and the claimed 0-to-60 time is 4.8 seconds.
As in the S, the six-speed automatic transaxle gets MC-Shift paddles and the ability to rev-match downshifts.
We're told the engine's racier exhaust note is trumpeted by a lightweight exhaust system with dual outlets that exit in the center of the rear diffuser.
