What's with Lincoln and pickups, anyway? Does it expect its luxury buyers to go rail splitting or working on those damn log houses without proper luxury? Considering its first attempt at a luxury pickup — the 2002 Black — was an epic failure, you'd think the company would study Cadillac's success a bit more closely. It seems Lincoln's latest, the 2006 Mark LT, is none too swank, and quite under-luxurious. And considering Ford's top of the line SuperCrew, which costs thousands less, is comparably equipped, it seems the company thinks its name alone is enough to sell a near-$50,000 pickup. This can't end well.
