The Last Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta Will Be Auctioned Off Very Soon

This is it: the last Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta. Presumably, Ferrari will make no more after this one. Unless something crazy happens, like Steve Jobs coming back to life and demanding one. Or something.

We found out not too long ago that Ferrari would produce one more Aperta and bring the number made up to a nice and round 210. The final Aperta, adorned with special edition livery, would be auctioned off and all proceeds would go straight to charity. We just didn’t know which charity.

RM Sotheby’s, which is handling the auction, updated its original post with an addendum that read that the proceeds will go toward benefitting Save the Children.

The special Aperta will have a double-racing stripe running from nose to tail and an interior trimmed with black Alcantara, red leather inserts, red stitching and black carbon-fiber trim.

It actually looks quite striking. The auction will take place Saturday, and is expected to fetch between €3 and €4 million, or $3.5 to $4.7 million.
