The Last 900 Saabs Ever Built Are Going On Sale

Remember the Saabs left to rot at a New Jersey port? They're going up for auction next week, along with Saabs in other parts of the country. It's still very much buyer beware, but where else can you get a new car for potentially 50% off MSRP?

The first 300 Saabs on the block will be the cars (mostly 9-3 models) stored in New Jersey, but don't get too excited as the bidding is limited to U.S. Saab dealers still hoping to sell cars (or maybe get parts?). An additional 600 cars will be auctioned off in 100-car units for rental car companies and exporters.

The full sale document (PDF) shows a few interesting vehicles, including pre-production 9-4x models and a 1985 Saab 900 SPG.

Hopefully, a collector will be able to pick those up.
