The LaFerrari wastes most of its hybrid technology purely on filling up the torque gap. That's great and makes for a very fast car, but I'm not impressed.
Now, you could argue that the Porsche 918 Spyder is a better car than the P1, and as an insanely fast daily driver, it really is. But there is a but.
The McLaren P1 is the best of both worlds, and that's what this experiment is all about. Being green and efficient while bending time and space with good old horsepower and torque.
Could the LaFerrari be faster than the P1 or the 918? Maybe.
But sheer speed is not the question here, and to be honest, I bet the P1 can smoke it while still having an all-electric range of at least 6 miles. That's enough to pop out for a box of milk while supporting your local polar bears.
Maybe Evo can prove me wrong at some point since all we get from Ferrari is hallucinations.
