A few weeks back, we attempted to throw a car show to raise money for hurricane relief in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico. It got rained out. But people down there still need your help, and it is indeed still The Car Time. That means the Jalopnik Car Show for Hurricane Relief is back. And we want to see you and your beautiful cars.
The new car show date is Sunday, November 26th. We know what you’re thinking right there. “But that’s the weekend after Thanksgiving!!!” you bleat.
You’re damn right it is. You’ll be four days into the one-day holiday, your teeth grinding from all of your stepdad’s dumb opinions, and your only escape is to go see Justice League.
Yes, Justice League. We both know your holiday was looking bleak.
But instead, you can come to the Jalopnik Car Show for Hurricane Relief. Hell, bring your family if you really want. Why talk to them, when you can talk to the cars? Or they can talk to the cars. Everyone can talk to the cars.
Plus, it’s only $10 to get in, just like last time. That’s even cheaper than Justice League, and no one wants to see that.
(Unless you’re already paid up from last time—in which case you get in for free. There are no refunds in case of postponement, but demanding ten bucks back from hurricane victims is just wrong, anyways.)
And the proceeds still go to the people that need it most. Much of Puerto Rico is still struggling without power, and it’s leading to shortages of medicine. Houston is still picking up the pieces in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Florida is, well, Florida.
In short, the work continues, and people need your help now more than ever. As we noted in the original announcement, this is what car people do: when there’s work to be done, we roll up our sleeves, get our hands dirty and fix the problem.

Where: A big dang parking lot in New Jersey! Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a huge vacant lot in the greater New York City area? This took weeks!
But the folks at Edison Properties kindly stepped up to donate a lot for us to use, and we’re grateful to them for it.
The address is 246 Market Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
When: Sunday, Nov. 26, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. We’ll be there to move the cars into place. Get there early if you can, but we imagine cars will be coming in and out on a rolling basis.
Who: You! Bring whatever car or cars you want, whether it’s Jalop-tastic or just your boring daily. It doesn’t matter if you have a Morgan Three-Wheeler or a Honda Accord. Bring your friends. Bring your spouses. Bring your dogs.
All proceeds will be split three ways and donated directly to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, United For Puerto Rico and The Miami Foundation.
How Much: Just $10 a person to get in! RSVP here, or pay at the door. That’s $10 per person, not per car, by the way. And if you can’t make it but want to donate a ticket anyway, we’d be eternally thankful.
If you get really lucky (and if the suspension, cooling system, and brakes are all fixed), you might just see a Yugo, too.
