So Ken Block just showed off his AWD 1965 Ford Mustang for his newest four-wheel donut Gymkhana fest. Amazingly, he wasn't the first guy to send power to the front of a '65 Mustang.

The original was built in the 1960s by Ferguson. That's a legendary name in the world of four-wheel drive. That was the British firm that developed 4WD for Formula One and eventually put the 'Ferguson Formula' into production with the Jensen FF, the Audi Quattro before there was an Audi Quattro.

Ferguson was a small company and it needed demonstration cars to pitch its system. That's why the company built three 4WD Mustangs in the '60s.

Below is a feature discussing when one of these three went up for sale.

I wonder if Ken saw this thing before he started working on his Hoonicorn.
