As Forza Motorsport 7's Oct. 3 launch date draws nearer and nearer, I’m running out of more and more reasons not to tell my friends and family goodbye for a week (or weeks), turn my apartment into a racing simulation cave and exclusively survive on delivery meals. Now there’s an awesome new trailer and a demo to deal with? Good thing it’s raining this afternoon.

As a refresher, Forza 7 will be available for PC, Xbox One and Xbox One X, Microsoft’s fancy new high-resolution machine that launches on Nov. 7. This will allow the game to run in 4K at 60 frames per second.

Inclement weather was a feature in Forza 6, but it never varied. You either raced in the rain or you didn’t. Forza 7 will have weather changes during races, reports TechRadar. That means that your race could go from taking place on a perfect, sunny day to slogging through puddles during a pouring rainstorm.

Also, drivers will be able to step out of their cars for the first time. It’s a small detail, but I’m actually looking forward to that, personally. Previous Forza games always felt very impersonal and detached because even though you could choose your driver’s outfit and helmet, that was really the extent of the interaction that you had with your character.

Being able to see them step out of the car (hopefully in a racing suit of your choosing) would definitely bring some more personalization to the game.

Forza 7's newest launch trailer gives you a taste of that.

And yes, the Forza 7 pre-demo is out today! There will be three cars and three tracks, TechRadar has learned:

According to Microsoft it’ll be split into three “unique racing experiences” that’ll give players access to three different cars and three different tracks.

If you’re wondering which cars and tracks you’ll get the chance to try out, Microsoft has confirmed it’ll be the game’s cover star, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, on the Dubai circuit’s Jebel Hafeet Pass; the Mercedes-Benz Tankpool racing truck on the Mugello circuit in Italy; and finally, the Nissan NISMO GT-R LM’s on the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit.

Do you have plans tonight? Not anymore, because you’ll have downloaded the demo. Ain’t nobody got time for anything else.
