Last November, VAQ-134 'Garudas' flew off the USS George H.W. Bush for their home base at NAS Whidbey Island, marking the historic end of what was the EA-6B Prowler's final carrier cruise. Months earlier, globe trotting aviation photographer Ivan Voukadinov was aboard the Bush as the Prowler was busy jamming ISIS fighters in Iraq.
Here are Ivan's amazing images, shot from the hot steel deck of the USS George Bush, as these wonderful pieces of vintage 'Grumman Iron' plied their electronic warfare trade in combat right up until the end.
*Programming note: Stay tuned next week for an exclusive interview feature about everything Prowler, Growler and electronic warfare related!
