Electric hatchbacks! Electric trucks! Horrible trucks! More conventional, expensive trucks! The 2019 New York Auto Show is in the books, and it was... fine. Mostly fine. Some good stuff here, some questionable stuff there, but nothing too earth-shattering as the car companies double-down on trucks and SUVs to pay for the electric future. But we tracked down the best and worst in show right here, for your viewing pleasure. Now, bear in mind that it’s Jason Torchinsky’s picks for best and worst, so they may not be in line with your own finely tuned tastes. But highlights for Jason here include Subaru’s crazy fake forest; a chrome gold wrapped Volkswagen Super Beetle in the basement; and the Genesis Mint concept. As for the downsides, well, there’s the baffling $2 million Karlmann King, which looked like something out of StarFox, and I don’t mean that in a good way. And nobody seemed warm to the Chevrolet Blazer except Chevrolet dealers. Check out the video and let us know your best and worst picks. And the public days run through Sunday, so you may even see some of them there if you head to the Javits Center.
