The beating heart of a Corvette Grand Sport

Zora Arkus-Duntov knew what he was doing. Proof? This 1963 Corvette Grand Sport Chassis 003 and it's 377 cubic-inch small block V8. Fed by four Weber carbs, it was said to produce 485 horsepower at 6000 RPM.

Zora wanted to build 125. GM let him build five before the program was scrapped. This car was shot by Steve Grove at the 2007 Monterey Historics and shared here, because it isn't Friday without a big ol' American V8. I don't care what Rebecca Black says.
